    huisjes transpLivingroom: Pellet stove instruction

    ♠ Use and cleaning:

The stove on the 2nd floor works on so-called pellet pellets. You will find this in a plastic box on the terrace at the rear of the living room. Standard is provided in 9 bags. We ask our guests to replenish the bags themselves before the day of departure. In this way you pay the actual costs (approx. € 6,75 per 15 kg bag) as charged in the store (Obramat).

If for reasons you do not provide for this, the bags will be replenished by our hosts after your departure. The bags then cost € 12,00 each due to transport and time. The number of bags used will be deducted from the deposit paid.

Important: pellets must remain dry. Would you be so kind as to close the lid of the coffin properly?

    ♠ Use pellet stove:

    • On top of the stove you will see a hatch: this is the reservoir to put the pellets in.
    • Make sure you have the reservoir for use fills and the lid closes properly.
Both the damper and the fire door at the front of the stove during use cannot to open!
    • To start the stove, press the for a few seconds red button on the remote control. The stove needs some time to go into the ignition phase (Ingnition). This message appears on the display at the bottom left of the front of the stove. As soon as the control temperature has been reached, the message: Preparation appears on the display. At that moment, the fans also come into operation to distribute the heat in the room.
    • After a while you will see small flames behind the fire door, a sign that the stove is burning.
    • On the remote control, you will see a thermometer on the right side and the signs + and -. Allows you to raise and lower the temperature. The height of the temperature is shown on the display of the pellet stove.
    • To switch off the heater (for example because you are leaving the house or going to sleep) press the red button on the remote control for 3 seconds.
The stove's motor continues to operate until the stove's temperature falls below the safety threshold set at the factory.

    1. Open the fire door by pulling the handle towards you.
    2. Behind the fire door you will see the brazier: a kind of bowl. The brazier consists of two parts: remove the upper part, the baffle plate (B) by gently pulling it upwards, and then the heavier brazier (A). Suck the ash from both the combustion chamber and the firepot with the ash piston. Use the ash vacuum cleaner in the sloping cupboard under the stairs in the kitchen for this.
!Never use an ordinary vacuum cleaner!
It is important that the holes in the brazier are open to prevent incomplete combustion of the pellets. So pay attention to this.
    3. The combustion chamber also contains 2 side panels and a rear panel, to clean these use the paintbrush that is in the cupboard next to the ash piston. This also allows you to make the door glass ash-free.
    4. At the top of the combustion chamber you will also see a copper-colored plate: to the left and right of this there are openings: you must also make these ash-free with the vacuum cleaner. You can also use the brush for this.
    5. Put the brazier back: first the heavier part (A) and push it firmly to the left so that it is flush against the wall (D) of the firebox. Then place the flame plate (B) on the brazier. The latter must be clamped on the brazier.
    6. The glass of the fire door can - if it has turned black on the inside - simply be cleaned by soaking damp kitchen paper in a little ash and wiping the glass with it.
    7. Then close the door.

    Important!:
if the pellet hopper is completely empty, residues (dust/sawdust) must be removed from the empty hopper before refilling the hopper. You can also use the ash piston for this.

    ♠ Ash-piston cleaning:

    • Always remove the plug from the socket before emptying the ash vacuum cleaner
    • Open the lid and put the ashes in a garbage bag
    • Clean the filter bag by tapping it
    • Regularly wash the filter bag under the tap and let it dry thoroughly
    • The filter itself can be unscrewed from the lid and rinsed under the tap
    • Both must completely dry before reinstalling

    3. Remove the bowl and clean it with the special ash vacuum cleaner. The ash piston is also in the cupboard under the stairs. Never use a regular vacuum cleaner!
It is important that the holes in the brazier are open to prevent incomplete combustion of the pellets.
    4. Also remove the remaining ash in the combustion chamber with the ash vacuum cleaner.
    5. Replace the brazier.
